會議由來: 此CSW會屬 聯合國經濟與社會理事會 (UN Economic and Social Council ECOSOC) 每年都會舉辦的委員會, 主要任務是關注目前全世界各國女性地位, 處境及 發展, 並在每年委員會會中決議出下年度工作發展方針. 每次委員會由理事會選出的聯合國45個會員國代表負責, 今年共有13位非洲代表, 11位亞洲代表, 9位拉丁美洲與加勒比海代表, 8位西歐代表, 4位東歐代表, 一任代表為期四年. (完整代表清單)
